DuroMaxx® Stormwater Detention and Infiltration

DuroMaxx steel-reinforced polyethylene (SRPE) pipe combines steel and polyethylene (PE) to make an exceptionally strong and durable pipe for stormwater detention and infiltration applications. DuroMaxx is unique as it has fewer joints to assemble on site, can be made watertight, and can be used in applications with corrosive soils.

The Contech Design Center

The Contech Design Center provides engineers unparalleled flexibility in the layout and configuration of a detention or infiltration storage system. Our latest release includes options previously unavailable in a free, web-based design tool:

  • A 2D/3D design environment with high resolution graphics including BIM model output.
  • The ability to import a PDF site plan and design a system to scale over the plan.
  • Provide instant access to customized, project-specific drawings.
  • Design multiple systems per project and save for future use.
  • Digitally collaborate using the new “Project Collaboration” feature. Share your project easily with anyone through the new project management page.

DuroMaxx for Combined Sewer Overflow

对混合下水道ov DuroMaxx可以提供存储erflow (CSO) via underground storage tanks. DuroMaxx vessels are both durable and water tight, providing a cost-effective way to handle this critical problem. With diameters of up to 120" and flexible design configurations combined with its watertight joints, DuroMaxx is an ideal solution for CSO storage.

DuroMaxx for Stormwater Infiltration

Perforated DuroMaxx infiltration systems store stormwater runoff in the pipe and surrounding stone during a storm until it can be released slowly into the surrounding native soil. Perforated CMP is often used to meet Low Impact Development requirements.

DuroMaxx for Stormwater Detention

DuroMaxx stormwater detention systems store stormwater runoff exceeding a site’s allowable discharge rate and release it slowly over time. Installed below grade, stormwater detention systems maximize land usage and help meet water quantity requirements.

DuroMaxx SRPE Pipe for Stormwater Detention and Infiltration

Eighty (80) ksi steel reinforcing (SR) provides the strength; pressure rated polyethylene (PE) resin provides the durability. The combination of materials results in an extraordinarily strong and durable pipe that sets a new industry standard for stormwater detention and infiltration applications.

DuroMaxx provides the lightweight, durability of traditional HDPE with the added structural strength of steel, making it the perfect choice for deep burial and corrosive soil applications.

DuroMaxx detention and infiltration systems can be designed with gasketed bell and spigot joints or welded coupler joints for increased water tight reliability. DuroMaxx is available in diameters ranging from 30 to 120 inches and in lengths up to 48 feet. Larger diameter pipe provides increased storage volume in a smaller footprint, while long pipe lengths reduce the number of sections to be set and joints to assemble.

DuroMaxx Features - Benefits

  • Twice as stiff as traditional HDPE pipe- requires less structural backfill.
  • Corrosion resistant HDPE - can be used in applications with corrosive soils.
  • Several joint configurations - welded coupler (WC), 10.8 psi high performance (HP) bell and spigot and soil tight(ST) joints available.
  • Up to 48 foot pipe lengths - fewer joints to assemble on site, resulting in faster installation rates.
  • Lightweight - easily handled and quickly installed.
